C.C.’s mineral business

Using our long-standing expertise to reprocess mineral substances

Industrial processes generate a large number of heterogeneous by-products. It is possible to process and retain the value of materials such as foundry sand, rail sweepings, screen glass and even road sweepings or materials from sewage treatment plants. To do so, however, you need three things: high-performance equipment, comprehensive knowledge of the raw materials – and an understanding of how to handle which substance.

The C.C. Umwelt has all of these things, as well as special processing plants and decades of expertise and experience. The collection capability of our mineral processing equipment (MP equipment) in Krefeld is immense. Using this MP equipment, we separate the often highly commingled materials in a way that allows us to turn them into high-quality construction materials. These can then be used in road construction, landscaping or landfill construction, for example, thus helping to conserve natural resources and reduce CO2 emissions.

Companies that are required to dispose of their waste can always rely on us to know exactly what needs to be done. We have been proving this for decades. The following overview explains what we do:

Step 1: Receiving the materials

Receiving the material to be processed

We receive the raw materials containing valuable substances from our customers. The raw materials can be delivered straight to our reception silos or in Big Bags, and we also accept powdered and possibly contaminated goods – including emergency acceptance of materials for quarantine.
